BetaWhat is PolySWAM?
From the very beginning, SWAM has deliberately remained monophonic. Not because polyphony wasn't desirable, but because realism and expressive control have always come first.
Rather than changing SWAM, we created an entirely new instrument designed to find the right balance between the expressiveness and performance realism of SWAM instruments and the possibilities offered by polyphony.
Developed together with Emanuele Ruffinengo, Latin GRAMMY Award-winning producer, arranger, and music technology expert, PolySWAM introduces a new approach to expressive polyphony.
Creative Flow Amplified: Sketching & Orchestral Composition
No more generic drafts: Forget laying down your initial ideas with generic pianos or flat synth pads. PolySWAM gives you an immediate, deeply inspiring, and highly expressive acoustic arsenal right at your fingertips.
A preset for every need: Access everything from intimate chamber ensembles to massive symphonic layers, punchy brass sections, funk big bands, and the majestic, cinematic combinations demanded by modern composers.
Live Performance Redefined: Expressive Ensembles on Stage
Raising the bar: SWAM Solo instruments revolutionized the stage for solo violin, saxophone, and woodwind performances. Now, that same breathtaking realism, response, and quality are extended to full ensembles.
An unthinkable live arsenal: Bring the power of dynamic, living acoustic groups to your live rig. Perform complex arrangements in real-time with an organic responsiveness never before possible on stage.
A New Instrument Paradigm: Pure Plug & Play
Forget what you know: PolySWAM is not a traditional sampler—it doesn’t trigger static recordings. It calculates physical behavior in real-time and dynamically assigns voices to individual virtual players.
No complex configuration: This is not a heavy workstation that requires hours of layout setup. It is pure Plug & Play. Select a preset, play, and instantly feel the different acoustic articulations. They are already there, built into the instrument—no need to search through thousands of samples.
Dynamic Legato & Polyphonic Gestures
Living transitions: Powered by the SWAM engine and driven by proprietary voice-allocation algorithms, PolySWAM naturally reacts to your touch, seamlessly playing legato, staccato, and even generating smooth, realistic portamentos.
Smarter phrasing: By understanding how you shift between notes and chords, the system shapes the transitions dynamically. With just a little practice, you can achieve surprisingly realistic and fluid musical phrases.
Public Beta Program
We are inviting musicians to test PolySWAM, share their experience, and help us shape how it evolves.
The primary focus of this public testing phase is technical validation, including host compatibility, software stability, and performance optimization across different setups.
This initial build includes a deliberately reduced preset library so that testing can remain focused on the core mechanics. The library will expand through future software updates as the Beta Program evolves.
Key Requirements & Constraints
Desktop Only
The Beta Program is exclusively available for macOS and Windows. iOS and iPadOS versions are not included in this phase.
Beta Software Center
Testers must download and install a dedicated Beta version of the Audio Modeling Software Center to download and activate PolySWAM.
Beta Test Agreement
Participation requires compliance with the Beta Program terms. PolySWAM is confidential; sharing images, videos, audio clips, or technical details online is strictly forbidden.
Explore the PolySWAM Knowledge Base
PolySWAM introduces a new way of playing and interacting with SWAM technology—one that needs to be explored, understood, and refined through real musical use.
The growing Knowledge Base covers PolySWAM's philosophy, voicing algorithms, playing techniques, presets, system requirements, and much more.
PolySWAM will be available at an MSRP of €399 / $399. PolySWAM is currently available exclusively through the Public Beta Program and is not yet available for purchase.
We're incredibly proud of what PolySWAM already is. But we're even more excited about what it can become.
